Join the fun and celebrate St. Patrick's Day by running the Lucky Dog 5K! There will be no official results or timing. This fun run will be a fundraiser to hire a chipped timing company for the Paws and Claws 5K on October 28, 2023.
Parking: Please park in the Kroger's/CVS side lot or the YMCA overflow parking lot.
Shirt: All participants will receive a long sleeve shirt if registered by February 24, 2023.
Shirt Pick-Up: Will be offered inside Sterling Kroger the night before the run from 5:30PM-6:30PM and the morning of the run from 8AM-8:45AM.
Course Details: Start on Ave E. Turn right on W 23rd St. Round the corner onto Griswold Ave. Turn Right on W Lefevre Rd. Turn Right on Industrial Dr. Turn right on N Lynn Blvd. Turn right to the finish on Ave E. (This is the same route used for the Sterling YMCA Turkey Day 5k.)
Strollers: Strollers are allowed.
Dogs: Dogs are allowed and encouraged, but please ensure your dog is comfortable with large crowds and other dogs. The race and myself are not liable for any accidents or dog related incidents or injuries.
Giveaways: All particpants will receive a free drink coupon for a imported beer, a domestic beer, or a non alcoholic beverage from Wally's Playce! The first 100 finishers will receive a Culver's coupon for a free scoop of custard! The top 3 Lucky Dogs will receive a bag of treats from Snow Dog Delights! All four-legged finishers will receive treats from Pet Supplies Plus - Dixon!
Bathrooms: There will be no Porta-Potties, but many near by businessess have restrooms to include Kroger.
